The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas by Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis

Gifted to me by my linda friend Clara, this one is a Brasileiro CLASSIQUE and taught in Brasileiro high school. It is what it says on the tin: a memoir written by a dead man. Very strange, very winding, but above all we have a LOVE TRIANGLE - and I've been obsessed with those since Twilight. Thank you Clarasita and thank you Machado de Assis!
